Rock the Block is a community revitalization event that brings neighbors, volunteers, and community partners together to improve the appearance and pride of the Old South End. Through volunteer-powered projects, homeowners can receive free exterior home maintenance and beautification services designed to make a positive impact on the neighborhood.

Eligible homeowners within the designated project area may request assistance with projects such as brush and overgrowth removal, weed pulling, yard raking, flower planting, mulching, window and siding washing, small exterior painting projects, gutter cleaning, and other minor exterior improvements.

This year's Rock the Block will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and is focused on helping residents create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming properties while strengthening community connections. All work is completed by volunteers, and projects will be selected based on eligibility, need, and available volunteer capacity.
